HELLO HELLO, long time no talk. I recently went to Austin, TX for the Founderpath conference. I had talked about it briefly in this blog, but I'll go more in depth about it following the series of events throughout the two days I was there. Here's my Linkedin Post about it too. But alright, let's get into it.

Thursday, September 1st

The conference started at 9 AM. During both days there were speakers from different start-ups, talking about things like "How I Bootstrapped to $20M in 5 Years", this was Cody McLain, the founder of SupportNinja. The speakers were in 20 minute increments each with a different topic.

During the lunch hour, it was my time to shine. My company sent me to be a SDR and connect with people. Since we're in eCommerce it can be hard to find people, but it's always a good time going to the conference and meeting those that have interest in my field. Anyways, I met a shit ton of people, talked about my company, listened to them talk about theirs, and connected over social media. I spent the rest of the day hanging out with my bosses and meeting new people.

Around 3, my dad spoke on the stage so I went to watch him talk. He was a superstar! He didn't seem nervous at all and I was (and still am) very proud of him. That's the end of that day. I had gone to downtown and hung out with a friend of mine and my dads, went to dinner and headed towards the hotel.

Friday, September 2nd

I wanted to get to the conference early because one of my bosses was speaking at 9:20 AM. So early but it's okay lol. After that, I left the conference room and talked to some more people.

My company and I went to lunch (they paid for me which was nice) and then they headed towards the airport.

I worked on an art project for my class, got a pair of free socks, and then I got really exhausted so I wanted to go home. Right before I left, I met someone who was a friend of someone else I had met the day before. These two were wonderful people, and I definetely want to stay in touch with them throughout the year. I got some new stickers and then I headed back to the hotel.

To Conclude

Overall it was a great experience. I liked how there was lunch provided and lots of free things. If I could change one thing I would have slept better, because I didn't have much energy at all. I don't think I did as well as I could have because I was so tired. Also, the conference area was so cold. I was freezing the whole day :p.

Well that's the end of this blog. I hope it was enlightening and I hope you enjoyed this peek into my life. As always, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and I'll see you in the next one. Ciao!
